Where did the flowers end up?

This is 5 year old poem that I had posted once in an Instagram story. Looks silly now..

Featured image by me. The Pali verses written in the right side comes from Mahā Parinibbāna Sutta, meaning: All formations are impermanent, everything changes constantly; this is the rule of nature which, upon realization, brings enlightenment.

I wonder where these flowers ended up.

Was it in the soil
and dust,
which has countless other things
decaying in it already?

Was it in the gut of
the cattle that were
roaming around
and doing nothing,
because there’s nothing to do
and nothing to eat?

Was it peaking through
the dry hair of that girl
who was waiting for her mother
to return from the poison of
coal and cement?

Was it in that
anxious man’s hands,
who was standing at the bus stop,
reciting a poem,
practicing his admittance of love?
